Big Revelation of Corruption in Rural Development Department Contracts
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made a big revelation of corruption in contracts of the Rural Development Department. They have submitted documents to the court revealing that Minister Alamgir Alam was involved in commission bribery through code words in the contracts. The use of code words M and H was made to pass on a portion of the commission to him.
Millions Accounted for in Diary Entries
The investigation agency has also informed the court that details of transactions worth millions were found in the diary obtained from the flat of PS Sanjeev Lal’s employee Jahangir Alam. Several pages of this diary have been submitted to the court as evidence.
Alamgir’s Money Kept with Jahangir
ED has claimed in court on Tuesday that Minister Alamgir Alam’s entire earnings from the rural development department and related documents were kept in Jahangir Alam’s flat by his PS Sanjeev Lal. They also claimed that a total of 32.20 crore rupees were recovered from Jahangir’s place, which they allege belong to Alamgir Alam.
Meaning of M and H Codes
The diary entries show that the codes M and H in the commission transactions corresponded to Minister Alamgir Alam. The code word M meant Minister and H meant Honorable Minister in the diary. Several instances of code word mentions were found in the diary.
ईडी ने ग्रामीण विकास विभाग के ठेकों में घूसखोरी का बड़ा खुलासा किया है। उन्होंने कोर्ट को सौंपे दस्तावेज में बताया है कि मंत्री आलमगीर आलम को ठेकों में कमीशनखोरी का हिस्सा कोड वर्ड के माध्यम से पहुंचता था। उनके लिए कोड वर्ड एम और एच का इस्तेमाल किया जाता था। डायरी में जांच एजेंसी ने कोर्ट को यह भी बताया है कि पीएस संजीव लाल के नौकर जहांगीर आलम के फ्लैट से मिली हिसाब-किताब की डायरी से इन तथ्यों का पता चला है। इसके अलावा, डायरी में 1970.05 करोड़ के एलओए का भी जिक्र है। ईडी अब मनीष और उमेश के नाम पर भी पड़ताल कर रही है।
