The police are investigating a case in which a brother brutally murdered his sister with an axe due to her relationship with another man. The incident took place in Chatra district of Jharkhand. The victim, a Dalit girl, was in a romantic relationship with a tribal youth, which did not sit well with her brothers. They caught the couple, took them to a nearby jungle, and killed the girl with an axe.
According to the police station in-charge, the victim’s boyfriend was also targeted for murder by the accused but managed to escape in time. When he returned to the jungle later, he found the girl’s dead body. He then went to a nearby village to inform everyone about the incident. The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and are continuing their investigation by interrogating the youth.
The police have registered a case in connection with the murder and are searching for the accused who is currently at large. The police believe that the accused is on the run and have conducted raids in various places to locate him. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to bring the culprit to justice for the heinous crime committed.
