Introduction
The Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna and Delhi, reaching Delhi in approximately 9 hours at a speed of 130 km per hour. This is much faster than other trains like Rajdhani, Sampurn Kranti, and Tejas, which take around 13 hours to reach Delhi. The train will stop at Ara, Buxar, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay stations on its way to Delhi.
Features
The Vande Bharat Express will have 1 coach of Executive Chair Car class and 7 coaches of Chair Car class. The Executive Chair Car class will have 52 seats, while the Chair Car class will have 478 seats. The train currently runs between Patna and Gomtinagar, Howrah, Ranchi, and New Jalpaiguri.
Upcoming Routes
Starting in July, the Amrit Bharat Express will run between Danapur and Bengaluru. The railway board will release the schedule 8 days before the operation begins. The journey from Patna to Bengaluru currently takes around 40-43 hours on regular trains, but with Amrit Bharat Express, it will take approximately 20 hours.
Special Features
The Vande Bharat Express is equipped with automatic sliding doors, footrests, and charging points under each seat for passenger convenience. Passengers can also enjoy entertainment on 32-inch TV screens. Safety features like fire sensors, GPS, cameras, and a safety feature called ‘Kavach’ are included to ensure passenger safety. The train also has Braille seat numbers and seats that can rotate 180 degrees in the Executive Class coach.
