Tragic Accident in Supaul
In a tragic incident in the Bhaptiyahi Thana area of Supaul, a speeding pickup truck overturned on NH-57. This resulted in the death of an unknown person and another youth being seriously injured. Following the incident, enraged locals blocked the road in protest.
Incident Details
According to local residents, on Wednesday morning at 7 am, a pickup truck was coming from Farbisganj towards Bhaptiyahi Thana area. Near the Vishwakarma Dharam Kanta in the Thana area, the truck overturned, hitting two pedestrians. One person died on the spot while the other, identified as Indradev Yadav from Banauniya village, was injured.
Protest and Investigation
Angry locals blocked NH-57 for about half an hour, demanding justice for the victims. Raj Kishor, the head of Bhaptiyahi Thana, confirmed the death of one person and the injury of another in the road accident. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene, and further investigation will be carried out to determine the next steps in the case.
