Orange Alert for Rain and Thunderstorms in Multiple Districts of Jharkhand
The weather department has issued an orange alert for rain and thunderstorms in several districts of Jharkhand today. Strong winds are also expected during this time. The areas under alert for rain include the northeastern and nearby central parts of the state. In addition, many parts of the state, such as Pakur, Sahibganj, Jamtara, Devghar, Dumka, Godda, and some areas of Dhanbad are expected to receive rain.
Possibility of Relief in Temperature after Rain
After the rain, a decrease in temperature can be observed in the state. The maximum temperature may reach up to 37 degrees. In the meantime, the capital city of Ranchi experienced a sudden change in weather on Wednesday morning with clouds covering the sky. Light clouds are seen in the sky of Ranchi.
Yellow Alert Issued for Rain in Jharkhand
The weather department has issued a yellow alert from May 23 to May 25 for the state. Thunderstorms and heavy winds are expected in the southern part of the state on May 24 and 25. The weather department has predicted chances of rain in various parts of the state until May 27.
Mixed Weather Conditions in Jharkhand
In the last 24 hours, several places in the state experienced rain and thunderstorms. The highest rainfall of 40 mm was recorded in Manjhari in West Singhbhum. The highest temperature recorded was in Garhwa at 43.5 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature was 21.9 degrees Celsius. Various areas like Khunti, Maheshpur, Giridih, and Hazaribagh received rainfall. Additionally, areas such as Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, and Bokaro witnessed the impact of strong winds.
