Maithili Thakur lights the lamp to inaugurate the awareness program
Maithili Thakur inaugurated the Deep Prajvalit Kar Karyakram in Nalanda, marking the beginning of the awareness campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections scheduled for June 1st. As the Bihar State Sweep Icon under the Sweep activity, she educated the voters on Thursday at the RICC building in Rajgir, based on voter awareness. She started the program by lighting the lamp and then used her folk songs to raise awareness among the voters regarding the upcoming elections. She also took an oath to use her vote.
Maithili Thakur urges voters to be aware and participate
During her visit to Nalanda, Maithili Thakur mentioned the opportunity for voters to visit different districts of Bihar under the Voter Awareness Program. She expressed her happiness after meeting the people in Nalanda and witnessing their enthusiasm towards voting. Many young voters were present, and she sang songs to raise awareness among them. She encouraged the youth to become aware and actively participate in the voting process.
Encouraging voting among the elderly and differently-abled
Maithili Thakur emphasized the importance of voting and encouraged the youth to take their families and elderly members to the polling booth for voting. She highlighted the facilities provided for the elderly and differently-abled voters, such as post ballot voting and wheelchair facilities at the polling centers. The district administration and election commission are working towards ensuring 100% voting by providing these facilities.
Spreading awareness through folk songs
Maithili Thakur used her melodious voice to raise awareness among the voters through folk songs during the event. She sang songs encouraging people to respect their rights and participate in voting. Her performance aimed to awaken a sense of responsibility and importance of voting among the people, urging them to respect their rights and fulfill their duty towards the democratic process.
