Protest over Lack of Polling Booth in Sevan Sadar

Under the Sevan Lok Sabha, residents of Baletha Bintoli in Sevan Sadar village protested today over the absence of a polling booth in the village. They alleged that no polling center has been set up in the village for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The villagers gathered at the community hall in Baletha to express their discontent.

Accusations of Unfair Polling Center Location

The villagers claimed that a polling center has been established nearly 5 kilometers away in Kurmi Hata village instead of Baletha Bintoli. They argued that it is unreasonable to expect them to travel such a distance to cast their votes. The administration has been held responsible for this decision by the villagers.

Efforts to Resolve the Issue

Despite Lok Sabha candidate Vijay Laxmi Kushwaha trying to explain the situation and persuade the villagers to understand, they remained adamant. The villagers have threatened to boycott the elections collectively until a polling booth is set up in their village. Ward number 1 in Baletha has around 700 voters who are affected by this issue.

Continued Resistance

Hundreds of men and women continue to protest against the lack of a polling booth in their village. They demand that the authorities address their concerns and ensure that they have a convenient polling center for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The villagers are determined to stand their ground until their demands are met.
