Changing Weather in Jharkhand

The weather in Jharkhand has changed as the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain and strong winds in the state from 25th to 28th May. According to the department, many parts of the state are expected to experience rainfall during this period. From 25th to 27th May, there will be thunderstorms and strong winds in various places in the northeastern, southern, and central parts of the state, with a possibility of power outages. The wind speed during this period will range from 40 to 50 km/h.

Alert Issued for Various Districts

The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for several districts in Jharkhand today (25th May), including Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ranchi, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, and Simdega. Clouds have gathered in Bokaro, indicating the possibility of rain in the state until 30th May. The department has forecasted rainfall in many parts of the state, providing relief from the heatwave.

Rainfall and Temperature Variations

In the past 24 hours, several parts of Jharkhand have experienced rainfall, with Khunti recording the highest at 51 mm. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Daltenganj at 39.6 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was in Ranchi at 23.2 degrees Celsius. Although there has been a drop in temperature in Palamu, the impact of the heatwave persists in many districts of the state.

Temperature Fluctuations

The temperature in Jharkhand has now dropped below 40 degrees Celsius, with Saraikela recording 39.2 degrees Celsius and Garhwa at 39.1 degrees Celsius. Pakur recorded a temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius. While temperatures have decreased in other districts, the impact of the heatwave is still felt in many parts of the state.
