Vaishali District Sports Talent

In Vaishali district, there is no shortage of sports talent. Despite limited resources, the players here are performing exceptionally well. In the Buddha Cup All India Karate Championship 2024, the athletes from Vaishali district have made a mark. A total of 37 players participated in the competition, which was held at the Don Bosco Academy on Ashiana Road in the capital city of Patna.

Success Story of Namami Kashyap

Five-year-old Namami Kashyap, daughter of Adalbari resident Miki Tiwari of Vaishali district, won a gold medal in the 25 kg category, fulfilling her parents’ dream. Initially known for her mischief at home, Namami’s mother, who is a government school teacher, enrolled her in karate to channel her energy positively. After winning the gold medal, the entire family is overjoyed and looks forward to seeing her compete at the national level.

Outstanding Performance at Karate Championship

Namami’s father, Deepak, shares that she was quite mischievous at home, prompting her mother to enroll her in karate to redirect her energy. Within a year, she won a gold medal at the championship in Patna, bringing joy to the family. The Karate Association President, Rupali Kumari, mentioned the active participation of players from every district of Bihar in the competition. All categories of players received medals, with two girls from the Hajipur Institute of Martial Arts excelling and bringing pride to their institution, parents, teachers, and the entire district.
