Sindri Township faces prolonged power outage
In Sindri Township, a population of close to 25,000 remained in darkness for more than 24 hours on Monday. A major part of the city experienced a complete blackout, affecting the markets and water supply as well. The electricity department officials are working towards providing an alternative arrangement for power supply by Tuesday evening, but due to high demand, the supply will be rotated in the area for a few hours at a time.
Technical fault causes power outage in DVVC yard
A technical fault was reported in the DVVC yard located in Harl, Sindri on Sunday evening around 4 PM. It was found that the insulator bush along with other parts of the main transformer had caught fire. The biggest challenge is that the insulator bush is from around 1947 and is difficult to find in the markets. The electricity department is working on arranging the insulator bush to restore power supply.
Efforts underway to restore electricity supply in Sindri
The electricity department officials, along with the help of local representatives, are working on a war footing to restore power supply in the affected areas. Transformers are being brought in from other locations to be installed and connected to ensure electricity supply is restored. A 10 kVA transformer is being installed in the Goshala substation to improve power supply in the entire Sindri Township area based on a rationing system.
Immediate relief measures being taken by authorities
Authorities are working to provide immediate relief to the residents facing power outages in Sindri. The installation of new transformers and rationing of power supply are some of the measures being taken to ensure that electricity is restored at the earliest. Efforts are being made to resolve the technical faults and restore normalcy in the region as soon as possible.
सिंदरी टाउनशिप में सोमवार को दूसरे दिन भी करीब 25 हजार की आबादी 24 घंटे से भी अधिक समय से अंधेरे में रही। शहर का एक बड़ा हिस्सा पूरी तरह से ब्लैक आउट रहा। बिजली और जलापूर्ति के ठप होने से बाजारों पर बुरा असर पड़ा। बिजली विभाग ने बताया कि बिजली आपूर्ति मंगलवार की शाम तक वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था कर दी जाएगी, लेकिन अधिक लोड होने के कारण क्षेत्र में दो-दो घंटे कर क्षेत्र में बिजली आपूर्ति की जाएगी। इंसुलेटर बुश की खराबी के कारण बिजली आपूर्ति में देरी हो रही है, लेकिन बिजली विभाग ने तत्काल कार्रवाई करने का दावा किया है।
