Kavya YS, originally from the village of V Yaradakere in Chikmagalur, Karnataka, had a dream of becoming an IAS officer for a long time. Despite facing setbacks in her initial attempts due to lack of proper guidance, she persisted and finally achieved her dream by securing the 7th rank in the UPSC Indian Forest Service exam. Her journey from a village school to UPSC success is a testament to her determination and her mother’s unwavering support.
Turning Dreams into Reality
After completing her education up to class 5 in the village school, Kavya YS moved to the city to pursue her studies further. With her father working as a farmer and her mother running a small grocery store in the village, Kavya’s mother always remained financially independent and capable of making her own decisions. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, Kavya’s determination and support from her mother and mentors helped her achieve her goals and secure a top rank in the UPSC exam.
