Tragic Death of Pregnant Woman at Private Clinic in Jamui

A pregnant woman died during childbirth at a private clinic near Jamui Sadar Hospital on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Nazrana Khatoon, wife of Mo Tabarkh, a resident of Gandhar village in the Sonho Thana area. After her death, relatives and other people expressed anger.

Allegations of Negligence against Doctors

When Dr. Manish Kumar tried to explain the situation to the people after the incident, he was beaten up. Subsequently, he was also locked in a room. People started demanding compensation and created a ruckus. Alleging negligence by the doctor and staff, relatives created a commotion for 7 hours, causing chaos in the clinic.

Police Intervention and Calming the Situation

Upon receiving information, the police from Town Thana reached the spot and tried to calm down the agitated crowd. However, after the clinic manager explained the situation, the relatives took the body home on Wednesday morning. The family members revealed that Nazrana Khatoon was 8 months pregnant and was suddenly taken to Khaira Primary Health Center after experiencing pain.

Tragic End at the Private Clinic

From there, she was referred to Jamui Sadar Hospital, where the baby was reported to have died in her womb. Subsequently, an Asha worker named Gudiya admitted the pregnant woman to a private clinic located next to Sadar Hospital, where there were no doctors present. Due to a delay in the operation, the pregnant woman also passed away. This led to an uproar among the people, and the police have stated that action will be taken based on the complaint.
