Reports of several students fainting in government schools across Bihar due to the heat wave caused by the scorching temperatures have surfaced. Despite the previous ability of District Magistrates to make decisions considering the heat wave and hot weather, they are now bound by orders from the Education Department and are not taking any proactive steps. In response, the teachers’ union has demanded immediate action from CM Nitish Kumar.
Political Leaders Criticize School Timings Amidst Severe Heat Wave
Amidst the severe heat wave, political leaders have criticized the school timings in Bihar, with BJP leader Navalkishor Yadav targeting KK Pathak for his decisions. Navalkishor Yadav stated that Pathak has gone mad and does not care about the children’s well-being, education, or the teachers’ concerns. He urged the Chief Minister to send Pathak for mental health treatment after June 4. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav criticized the government for ignoring the health of young children amidst the extreme temperatures.

VIP Chief Mukesh Sahni expressed disappointment in KK Pathak’s recent decisions, stating that while he was once considered a good officer, his current actions are causing distress to teachers. Sahni stressed the need for a reevaluation of the school timings and overall education system in Bihar, calling for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take action. Chirag Paswan also emphasized the seriousness of the situation, urging the Bihar government to ensure the safety and well-being of students amidst the ongoing heat wave.
