Accident on Chakai Main Road
An accident occurred on Thursday morning near the Patna turn on the main Chakai road, where a rice-loaded truck overturned on a bike rider, resulting in the rider’s death. The deceased has been identified as Murari Yadav (45), brother of the Sarpanch of Novadih Panchayat in Chakai block.
Protest and Police Intervention
After the incident, relatives and locals blocked the Chakai-Jamui main road for an hour in protest. The truck driver, who fled the scene after abandoning the vehicle, was not apprehended. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Chandramandih and Chakai stations arrived at the scene, dispersed the crowd, and restored traffic flow.
Police Investigation
The Chandramandih Station House Officer, Subodh Kumar, stated that the fatal accident involved a motorcycle rider. The police are currently investigating the entire incident and are looking into taking the truck into custody for further examination.
Background of the Deceased
The deceased, Murari Yadav, had a son who was involved in a criminal case and was currently incarcerated in Jamui jail. Murari Yadav was on his way to court for his son’s hearing as a witness when the tragic accident took place. The community is mourning the loss of Murari Yadav and demanding justice for the incident.
