Final Phase of Voting in Bihar
In Bihar, the final phase of voting is scheduled for Saturday on 8 seats. Ahead of the voting, there is intense rhetoric between the ruling party and the opposition. The JDU spokesperson has once again questioned the Lalu-Rabri regime. Meanwhile, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has also criticized the scorching heat in which voting is taking place.
Controversial Statements by JDU
The JDU spokesperson wrote on social media ‘X’ that those who are in love with lanterns, referring to the symbol of the opposition party, should refuse electricity. Those who are not voting for lanterns, should first disconnect their electricity connection at home, then their relatives will understand the definition of development by the Chief Minister in the scorching heat.
Tejashwi Yadav’s Criticism
Tejashwi Yadav has criticized the government for the deaths due to the intense heat in Bihar. He mentioned that due to the adamant behavior of the NDA government, there have been reports of deaths of students and teachers when schools were opened in the scorching heat. Despite the pressure from the opposition, schools were closed one day before, but teachers were still given strict instructions to come to school in this life-threatening heat.
Call for Teacher’s Leave
Tejashwi further stated that when students themselves are not in school, what will teachers do? In this intense heat, teachers should definitely be given leave. Why is the NDA government in Bihar making such inhumane decisions towards teachers? Why is the entire cabinet, including the Chief Minister, comfortably sitting in air-conditioned rooms while risking the lives of teachers?
