The National Democratic Alliance also gave this seat to Chirag Paswan. Pashupati Paras initially rebelled but continued to claim his support. After handing over the Jamui Lok Sabha seat to his brother-in-law Arun Bharati, Chirag Paswan entered the electoral arena from the Hajipur seat. He campaigned vigorously and even had a rally addressed by PM Modi. Chirag is contesting against RJD candidate Shivchandra Ram. All exit polls so far predict a win for Chirag Paswan.
