In May, Ranchi and its surrounding areas recorded a maximum temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius, breaking records from the past six years. The maximum temperature in Ranchi on Saturday was recorded at 38.4 degrees Celsius, a decrease from the high temperatures experienced in the previous days.
Weather Forecast for the Week
Over the next week, Ranchi and its surrounding areas may not see much relief from the heat. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 38 and 41 degrees Celsius, with chances of partial cloud cover and thunderstorms leading to rainfall. Several districts have been issued yellow and orange alerts, indicating potential heatwave and thunderstorm conditions.
