Attempted Murder in Sheikhpura
In the Mahasar Panchayat of the Sirari police station area in Sheikhpura, criminals on a bike targeted Uchit Kumar Yadav, the nephew of the village head, with the intention of killing him and fired shots at him. The culprits managed to escape after the incident. However, the police recovered an empty cartridge from the scene on Tuesday after receiving information about the incident. The bike belonging to the criminals was also seized successfully.
Details of the Incident
Uchit Yadav, a resident of Madari village, recounted that he was returning home on his bike late at night when three armed criminals on a bike started following him near Dariyapur village. As they reached near the western road bridge close to the diversion near Madari village, one of the criminals on the bike began firing shots at him.
Police Action and Investigation
Upon hearing the gunshots, villagers rushed to the scene. The three criminals fled with the bike, leaving behind a black scarf at the scene. The police, including the Sub-Inspector, stated that they have recovered an empty cartridge from the scene and have registered a case based on the victim’s complaint of a life-threatening attack. The suspects include Rahul Kumar, the son of Tontan Yadav from Deeh Kusumba village, Prahlad Yadav, the son of Bhomu Yadav from Bai Beegha village, and Gulshan Kumar from Sheikhpura city area.
Suspects and Injuries
The suspects, who are considered to have a criminal background, were involved in the incident. During their escape, their bike met with an accident on the road. One of the criminals, Rahul Kumar, was severely injured in the accident. He is currently receiving treatment at a private clinic in the city. It was revealed that the injured criminal had recently been released on bail from jail in a criminal case. The police are investigating the matter further.
