Kalpana Soren Wins Gandey By-Election
Kalpana Soren, wife of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has emerged victorious in the Gandey Vidhan Sabha by-election with a significant margin. She trailed behind the BJP candidate Dilip Verma in the first three rounds of counting, receiving 3346 votes in the first round and 7119 and 10258 votes in the second and third rounds respectively.
Close Contest and Victory
Despite being behind by 2568 votes after the third round, Kalpana Soren made a strong comeback in the fourth round, securing 16203 votes as compared to Dilip Verma’s 15055 votes. The lead continued to widen in her favor, with Kalpana receiving a total of 109827 votes by the end of the 24th round, surpassing the BJP’s 82678 votes by a margin of 27149.
Symbolic Win and Acknowledgment
Kalpana Soren attributed her victory to the love, blessings, hard work, and struggle of the people of Gandey, her family, and supporters. She expressed gratitude for the support of her father-in-law Shibu Soren, mother-in-law, and the JMM party members. She shared pictures with her family and emphasized that the win was a result of collective effort and promises to fulfill the commitments made to the people of Gandey.

झारखंड के गांडेय विधानसभा उपचुनाव में हेमंत सोरेन की पत्नी, कल्पना सोरेन ने बड़े अंतर से जीत हासिल की है। पहले राउंड में वे भाजपा प्रत्याशी से पीछे रहीं, लेकिन अंत में उन्होंने भाजपा को पीछे छोड़ दिया। इस जीत के बाद कल्पना ने अपने परिवार और समर्थकों का आभार व्यक्त किया और कहा कि यह उनके स्नेह, आशीर्वाद, मेहनत और संघर्ष की जीत है। उन्होंने भाजपा को आगे नहीं बढ़ने दिया और विधानसभा की जनता के साथ अपना वादा पूरा करने का वादा किया।
