World Environment Day was celebrated today across the district with various programs organized at different locations. Mayor Pinki Devi and former mayor Sanjay Kumar appealed to save the environment by planting more and more trees in different areas of the municipal area.
On the occasion, around 400 trees were planted at Tinmuhani Chowk in Nayagaon by IAM Begusarai Unit and KDS Foundation. Several doctors, including Dr. Ramrekha Singh, Dr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, Dr. KK Singh, IAM President Dr. AK Ray, and Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, along with many other doctors from the district, participated in planting trees.
On World Environment Day, five organizations’ custodians came together with the Morning Walker Association to conduct a morning walk to promote a green Begusarai. The participants spread awareness about the importance of planting trees and the impact of deforestation on the environment.
During the event, the need to plant more trees was emphasized due to the changing weather patterns caused by global warming. It was highlighted that planting trees is crucial for maintaining a healthy environment and combating climate change. The participants were urged to plant trees on various occasions like birthdays or anniversaries to contribute to a greener future.
विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर जिले भर में पेड़ लगाने के कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। मेयर पिंकी देवी और पूर्व मेयर संजय कुमार ने नगर निगम क्षेत्र में पौधरोपण कर लोगों से पर्यावरण को बचाने की अपील की। इसके साथ ही अन्य संगठनों ने भी हरित बेगूसराय बनाने के लिए कई कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए। इस अवसर पर लोगों को पेड़ लगाने की अपील की गई और उन्हें भी उत्साहित किया गया कि वे भी पौधरोपण करें। इसके साथ ही विभिन्न संगठनों और व्यक्तियों ने भी पेड़ लगाने के लिए साझेदारी की।
