Born on January 24, 1955, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament representing Muzaffarpur in the 18th Lok Sabha. He served as the national president of JDU from July 31, 2021, to December 29, 2023. With four terms as an MP, including one from Begusarai and three from Muzaffarpur, he has also held the position of Jal Shakti Minister in the Bihar government. His elevation to a Cabinet Minister in the Indian government would be a first for him.
