Patna Municipal Corporation to Crack Down on Encroachments

In an effort to curb encroachments, the team of Patna Municipal Corporation in the capital city of Bihar will launch a major crackdown starting from Monday. A total of 12 magistrates and 200 personnel will use bulldozers to remove encroachments from the roads of Patna. The team is set to start the campaign at 10:00 am today amidst concerns of public opposition.

Heavy Police Presence During Encroachment Removal Campaign

To ensure smooth removal of encroachments, a sufficient number of police forces and magistrates will be deployed during the campaign. The officials aim to confiscate stalls and other materials during the crackdown to keep Nehru Path free from encroachments. The crackdown in various areas of Patna will involve strict action against shopkeepers obstructing footpaths, reflecting the administration’s firm stance this time around.

Areas Targeted in the Campaign

The encroachment removal campaign will span across several areas in Patna, including Nehru Path, Sheikhupura to Rukunpura, and various other key locations. The authorities plan to maintain a vigilant eye on the areas through video surveillance to prevent re-encroachment. Additionally, four teams will collect fines from shopkeepers encroaching on footpaths to ensure compliance with the anti-encroachment measures.
