Chirag Paswan, the National President of Lok Janshakti Party and a three-time MP with a 100% strike rate, took oath as a minister on Sunday. Starting his career in films, Chirag Paswan entered full-time politics in 2014 and won the Jamui Lok Sabha seat.
Chirag Paswan’s Political Journey
Having won the Jamui Lok Sabha seat in 2014 and 2019, Chirag Paswan contested and won from the traditional seat of Hajipur in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Despite clashes with his uncle Pashupati Paras and Nitish Kumar, Chirag remained a part of the NDA alliance. He has never directly attacked PM Modi or the BJP, focusing on his party’s future by being a part of 3 consecutive Lok Sabha elections.
Chirag Paswan: A Rising Political Star
Chirag Paswan, born on October 31, 1982, started his career in engineering and then ventured into acting before entering politics in 2014. Taking over the responsibilities of his party and family after his father’s passing, Chirag Paswan is becoming a popular youth face not just in Bihar but across the country. With a hattrick of wins in the elections, he is seen as a potential leader who can take on bigger responsibilities in the future.
