Jharkhand Issues Orange and Yellow Alerts

In Jharkhand, relief from the heat is not in sight as orange and yellow alerts have been issued in various districts. The areas under orange alert include Gadwa, Palamu, Chatra, Devghar, Jamtara, and Dumka. While Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Ranchi, and several other districts have been issued a yellow alert.

Possibility of Rain and Thunderstorms

The weather department has predicted rain with thunderstorms in the western parts of the state. Ranchi experienced some light rain yesterday evening, but most parts of the state did not see any significant impact. Some parts of Ranchi received showers on Monday. The weather department has also issued a heatwave warning until June 14.

Pre-Monsoon Impact Expected

The weather department has issued alerts for both heatwave and possible rainfall in the northeastern and central parts of the state on June 14. The pre-monsoon impact could be observed after June 14. The majority of the state has remained dry in the past 24 hours, with Palamu district experiencing the most severe heatwave conditions.

Temperature Fluctuations in Jharkhand

Most districts in Jharkhand have recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, with Daltenganj reaching a high of 45 degrees Celsius, while Bokaro recorded the lowest temperature at 28 degrees Celsius. Only four districts in the state, including Simdega, Sahibganj, Pakur, and Lohardaga, had temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius. The majority of the districts in Jharkhand have seen temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
