Merger of Schools in Darbhanga

In Darbhanga district, 92 out of 100 schools have been merged into other schools. These are the schools that did not have their own buildings, so they were being run in collaboration with other primary schools for some time.

Schools without Land or Buildings

In the 17 blocks of Darbhanga district, there were 100 schools that did not have land or buildings. These schools were being operated in association with 92 primary schools in the area. Despite efforts by the Education Department, these schools were not provided with buildings or land, leading to their merger with other schools.

Impact of School Mergers

Schools in areas like Taradih, Manigachhi, Ghanashyampur, and others have been merged, increasing the total number of students to 36,230. Similarly, the number of teachers has increased from 892 to 1464 after the merger. Due to the lack of land and buildings, these schools were merged as per the orders of the Primary Education Director, despite efforts to provide them with necessary infrastructure.
