Brother Killed Over Land Dispute in Purnia

In a tragic incident in Purnia, a man was beaten to death by his elder brother over a dispute regarding 33 decimal of land. The elder brother had a heated argument with his two younger brothers on Tuesday over the land, and later arrived at the younger brother’s house with 10 family members and beat him with sticks and rods.

Victim Identified as Sahroj Alam

The deceased has been identified as Sahroj Alam (38), son of Mo. Nasruddin from Chaura Bhitta village in Dahua Badi Panchayat of Amour Thana. Sahroj Alam’s brother, wife, and sister-in-law, along with four others, were injured in the attack.

Police Investigation and Family’s Ordeal

The police were informed about the incident and reached the spot. The situation calmed down after the villagers intervened. The elder brother, Mo. Mustak, along with his family members, including his wife and children, arrived at Sahroj’s house with weapons and started beating him without any warning. Sahroj and four others were severely injured in the attack.

Death of Sahroj Alam

Sahroj Alam and the other injured family members were rushed to JMCH Hospital in Purnia with the help of the villagers. Unfortunately, Sahroj succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. The police have taken custody of the body for post-mortem examination at JMCH Purnia.
