Accident in Supaul: 4 Dead, 2 Seriously Injured
An auto and a truck collided on NH 327E in the Triveniganj Thana area of Supaul. The accident resulted in the death of 4 people, including the driver, out of the 6 passengers in the auto. The other 2 passengers are in serious condition and have been taken to the Triveniganj Hospital for primary treatment.
Identification of the Deceased and Injured
The deceased have been identified as Govind Paswan (55) from Maheshwa Panchayat, Siyaram Sharma (55) from Bela village, Mamta Devi (40) and Bijli Devi (52) from Maheshwa Panchayat, and the injured have been identified as Kishan Dev Mandal (50) and Sakuni Devi (52).
Eye-Witness Account of the Accident
Umesh Mandal, son of the deceased Siyaram Sharma, shared that his father and 5 others from the village were returning from a Shiv Puja when the accident occurred near Triveniganj market on the Supaul-Araria main road. The truck collided with their auto, resulting in the death of 4 passengers and injuring 2 others.
Police Action and Investigation
The police have seized both vehicles involved in the accident. Ram Sewak Rawat, the Thana in-charge of Triveniganj, confirmed the death of 4 people, including 2 women, in the road accident. All bodies have been sent for postmortem, and further investigation is underway.
