Arrests made in murder case
In a shocking incident at Sundar Singh College in Mehus village, Sheikhpura, the police have arrested two suspects in connection with a murder case. The arrested individuals include Guddu Kumar alias Vinit Kumar, son of Sw Navin Singh from Mehus village, and Vika, nephew of Karu Ram from the same village.
Details of the suspects
One of the arrested suspects, Vikas Kumar, hails from Matasi village under Halsi police station in Lakhisarai district, while the other suspect, Guddu Kumar, was apprehended from his sister’s house in Bagal Ke Kurouni village. Both suspects were friends of the deceased and were known to indulge in substance abuse.
Incident and escape
The incident took place on June 1st when the suspects and the victim were consuming drugs on the top floor of the college building. An argument ensued, leading to the murder of Dheeraj with a brick. The suspects then fled the scene, leaving the body behind. The victim’s father, Avadhesh Ram, had been searching for him since June 1st, and a complaint was lodged at the police station.
Discovery of the body
Following the complaint, the body of Dheeraj Kumar was found on the rooftop of the college on June 7th. The arrests were made based on the evidence and statements gathered during the investigation. The suspects are now in police custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
