SSB and Galgalia Police Jointly Arrest Woman with Suspected Heroin

SSB 41st Battalion stationed at Bhantgaon BOP on the India-Nepal border, along with Galgalia Police, have arrested a woman with 50 grams of suspected heroin in a joint operation. The SSB received confidential information that narcotics were being bought and sold near the Indian territory bordering Nepal. This information was shared with the Galgalia Police, leading to the formation of a special raid team by the SSB and Galgalia Police.

Woman Arrested near Pillar No. 102 on India-Nepal Border

During a campaign near Pillar No. 102 on the international border between India and Nepal, a woman attempted to deliver narcotics towards India from within 800 meters of the pillar. The SSB’s female security personnel intercepted the woman and conducted a search, during which 50 grams of suspected heroin wrapped in plastic was recovered from her possession. The woman, identified as Radha Devi (35) from Ujiyarpur in Samastipur, was subsequently arrested.

Woman Involved in Drug Business Arrested

Radha Devi, who has been residing in her father’s house in Lakdi Depot village in Galgalia for several years, confessed to her involvement in the drug trade. After necessary action was taken by the SSB, the woman was handed over to the Galgalia Police along with the seized suspected heroin. The Galgalia Police have registered a case against the accused woman under the NDPS Act and placed her in judicial custody.
