However, the victory was marred by a tragic incident where a BJP supporter was murdered today. The reason behind this heinous act was a simple disagreement ★the supporter refused to remove the party flag from his house, which led to a fatal stabbing by the opposition. The incident caused panic in the area, with a large crowd gathering around the hospital where the victim was admitted.
Police Investigation and Protests
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and began their investigation. However, the relatives of the deceased were outraged and started protesting, accusing several individuals, including the local police station in-charge, of bias. The incident, which resulted in the murder of a youth due to a dispute over removing election flags forcefully, has led to allegations of bias against Congress supporters in the Maharajganj Lok Sabha elections.
Fatal Stabbing of a Youth
The altercation over removing an election flag escalated to a point where a youth was fatally stabbed. The incident took place in the Chapraitha village under the Rasoolpur police station area. The victim has been identified as a local resident named Sujit Kumar Giri.
Pre-Election Dispute
According to the victim’s relatives, the youth had placed the BJP flag on the roof of his house, sparking a dispute that had been ongoing before the elections. Today, the situation took a violent turn when goons attacked BJP workers with knives, resulting in one fatality. The police intervened upon receiving the information and took the body for post-mortem after defusing the tension caused by the incident.
