Jharkhand Weather Update
In most districts of Jharkhand, including the capital city of Ranchi, severe heatwave conditions persist. The maximum temperature in Ranchi reached 41 degrees on Thursday, which is nearly five degrees higher than normal. This temperature is the highest in June. Previously, rainfall would occur when the mercury crossed 35 degrees in Ranchi, making the weather pleasant. However, even with temperatures reaching 41 degrees now, there are no signs of clouds in the sky.
Weather Alert and Monsoon Delay
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Ranchi due to rising temperatures, advising people to avoid direct sunlight. However, after the intense heat, there may be changes in the weather with strong winds and thunderstorms leading to rain in the afternoon. Lightning strikes may also occur in some areas.
Delayed Monsoon Arrival in Jharkhand
The monsoon arrival in Jharkhand is delayed by a week compared to normal expectations. Meteorologists estimate that monsoon activity in the state may begin from June 17. At present, the monsoon has reached Islampur in Bengal. Due to the influence of La Niña, there may be less rainfall in June, but good rainfall is expected in July due to the La Niña effect.
Impact of La Niña on Monsoon
La Niña is a cold-water phenomenon in the Pacific Ocean that weakens the high-pressure zone in the Indian Ocean, affecting the monsoon in India. When La Niña occurs, the cold water stream off the coast of Peru pushes the warm water towards the west, strengthening the high-pressure area in the Indian Ocean. This helps the monsoon progress swiftly and dominate India.
झारखंड के अधिकांश जिलों में भीषण गर्मी का सितम जारी है। रांची में गुरुवार को तापमान 41 डिग्री पर पहुंच गया। मौसम विभाग ने शुक्रवार के लिए यलो अलर्ट जारी करते हुए लोगों से धूप से बचने की सलाह दी है। झारखंड में मानसून का आगमन एक सप्ताह विलंब हो सकता है। अल नीनो के प्रभाव से इस सीजन में मानसून की स्थिति अच्छी रह सकती है। गर्मी के कारण रेल अलर्ट जारी रहेगा। शहरों में अधिकतम तापमान मेदिनीनगर 46.5 डिग्री पर पहुंचा। झारखंड में भीषण गर्मी और मानसून की विलंब से लोगों को सतर्क रहने की सलाह दी जा रही है।
