JD(U) National Executive Meeting Scheduled for June 29 in Delhi
The Janata Dal United’s National Executive meeting is set to take place on June 29 in Delhi. This meeting will see the participation of all senior leaders of the party, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This will be the first meeting after the Lok Sabha elections. Previously, the last National Executive meeting was held in December 2023, where Lalan Singh had stepped down as the National President, leading to the re-election of Nitish Kumar as the National President.
Nitish Kumar to Chair the Meeting
According to sources, Nitish Kumar will chair the National Executive meeting of JD(U). The meeting will also discuss the results of the Lok Sabha elections, where JD(U) contested on 16 seats and won 12. Additionally, after two years, JD(U) has made an entry into the Central Cabinet.
JD(U) Secures 12 Lok Sabha Seats
JD(U) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are once again in the headlines after securing 12 Lok Sabha seats. With this victory, JD(U) has become the third largest party in the National Democratic Alliance. Two JD(U) MPs have now become members of the Modi Cabinet, with Lalan Singh as a Cabinet Minister and Ramnath Thakur as a Minister of State. This marks the first time since the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government that two leaders from JD(U) have joined the Central Cabinet.
Nitish Kumar’s Party Leaders Join the Central Cabinet
After the 2021 elections, RCP Singh was the only JD(U) leader to join the Central Cabinet. Now, Lalan Singh and Ramnath Thakur have been appointed as Ministers. This move has brought JD(U) back into the spotlight and highlighted their growing influence in national politics.
जनता दल यूनाईटेड की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी की बैठक 29 जून को दिल्ली में होने वाली है, जिसमें सीएम नीतीश कुमार समेत पार्टी के सभी दिग्गज नेता शामिल होंगे। बैठक में लोकसभा चुनाव के रिजल्ट पर भी चर्चा होगी, जिसमें जदयू ने 16 सीटों पर अपने प्रत्याशी उतारे और 12 सीटें जीती हैं। इसके अलावा, दो साल बाद जदयू की केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल में इंट्री हुई है। इससे पहले 2021 में आरसीपी सिंह अकेले ही मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल हुए थे, अब ललन सिंह और रामनाथ ठाकुर मंत्री बनाए गए हैं।
