Protests against NEET Paper Leak
Students in various states are protesting continuously against the NEET exam paper leak. In Patna, students demonstrated at the Dinakar Golambar and burnt an effigy of the central government. Student leader Saurabh Kumar stated that the grace marks given by the central government and NTA were not justified at all. The Supreme Court later mentioned that there is no provision for giving these marks and NTA removed them. The evidence of the paper leak is with the Economic Offenses Unit of the Patna Police, indicating that the question paper reached candidates a day before the exam.
Threat of Indefinite Protest
The protesters threatened to continue their indefinite protest if the Education Minister does not take action. They accused the ministers of being only focused on forming the government and not addressing the issue at hand. They burnt an effigy today, but warned of indefinite protests in the coming days if the exams are not cancelled. They are determined to fight against injustice with the support of 24 lakh students.
Arrests in Connection with Paper Leak
The EOU has issued notices to 9 students in connection with the paper leak case. All students have been called to the EOU office for questioning along with their parents. They are urging Prime Minister Modi to pay attention to the youth, as they have placed him in the position of Prime Minister for the third time. If he cannot do anything for them, they want him to acknowledge it.
