Accident in Motihari
An out-of-control Scorpio overturned in Motihari, resulting in the death of the driver and serious injuries to five passengers. The injured are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals. The incident took place as the Scorpio was being driven by SP Mo Salauddin, who was on his way from Patna to his village Balther for Bakrid celebrations. The driver of the Scorpio has been identified as Imtiyaz, a resident of Fulwari Sharif in Patna.
Details of the Accident
The accident occurred when a bike suddenly came between the two cars near the Sighia Overbridge in Karbajariya Thana. The driver tried to brake, but due to excessive speed, the car overturned and collided with the railing, flipping over and landing about 40-50 meters ahead on the roadside. Fortunately, no other vehicle was passing by at that moment, preventing a more severe accident.
Response and Investigation
Upon receiving the information, authorities rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the accident site. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the out-of-control Scorpio and the subsequent overturning that led to the tragic outcome.
Official Statement
Indrajit Paswan, the Station House Officer of Banjariya, confirmed that the accident was reported around 10 pm on Saturday night. The authorities are working to gather more information about the incident and provide support to the victims and their families during this difficult time.
