Arrest of Stone Pelters on Train
In Darbhanga, Bihar, the RPF has arrested two accused for pelting stones on the Jaynagar-New Delhi Swatantrata Senani Express train number 12561. The incident took place between Bijli Halt and Kakarghatti stations on the evening of June 14. The identities of the two accused have been confirmed as Mohd. Pyare (22) and Mohd. Raja (24), both residents of Kharthua village in Sadar block.
Stone Pelting Incident
On the evening of June 14, stones were pelted on the Swatantrata Senani Express train traveling from Jaynagar to New Delhi. As a result, a window of AC coach B-6 shattered, causing minor injuries to a female passenger named Sudheera Devi. The RPF and officials immediately arranged for her medical treatment upon reaching Darbhanga station.
Medical Assistance Provided
After reaching Samastipur from Darbhanga, a medical team provided necessary medical assistance to the injured passenger Sudheera Devi. Although she was advised to file a complaint, she refused to lodge an FIR. The Mandal administration directed necessary action in the matter, leading to the arrest of the accused and filing of a case.
RPF Action and Arrest
Inspector Manoj Horo of Darbhanga RPF stated that on the instructions of railway authorities, a case was registered against the two accused at the RPF post in Darbhanga. Following an investigation, both accused were arrested in connection with the stone-pelting incident on the train.
