Red Alert Issued in Several Districts
The weather department has issued a red alert for severe heatwave conditions in some parts of Bihar, including Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, and Gaya districts on Tuesday. Orange alerts have been issued for heatwave conditions in Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Samastipur, Nawada, and Nalanda. There is a possibility of hot days in one or two places in the north-west, north-central, and south-eastern parts of the state.
Rain Expected in Supaul, Araria, and Purnia
The Meteorological Center has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some parts of Supaul, Araria, Purnia, and Kishanganj for three to four hours. These districts are likely to experience strong winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius have been recorded in various districts of Bihar.
Scattered Showers in Some Areas
During the past 24 hours, light showers were reported in one or two places in the north-eastern part of the state, while the rest of the region remained dry. Maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius were recorded at 17 locations in the state. Severe heatwave conditions persisted in many parts of the state, with Patna, Jamui, and Munger experiencing high temperatures. The weather department has predicted light rain with thunder in one or two places in the north-east and south-east of the state.
No Significant Changes Expected
Over the next two to three days, there are no significant changes expected in temperatures. A slight decrease of three to five degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures is anticipated. The impact of the monsoon is likely to be seen in some parts of Bihar after three to four days.
