Police Arrest Six Criminals from Two Locations
Police from Sursand and Choraut police stations in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district have arrested six youths, including two notorious criminals, with marijuana and a homemade pistol. DSP Atanu Datta of Sursand police station held a press conference on Monday evening to provide the details. Acting on a tip-off, the Sursand police formed a team led by Puni Rajesh Kumar and Soni Arun Kumar to intercept individuals attempting to cross the border with drugs.
Rapid Action Leads to Arrest of Suspects
The police team quickly reached the border and apprehended two suspicious individuals trying to cross. Upon searching them, two kilograms and 300 grams of marijuana, a homemade pistol, and a live bullet were recovered. One of the arrested criminals was identified as Shiv Shankar Sahni, son of Ravindra Sahni, a resident of Ward No. 7 of Sursand Nagar Panchayat. The other was identified as Param Kumar alias Pramod Kumar, son of Mahesh Raut.
Successful Arrests in Choraut Police Station
Meanwhile, the Choraut police station also achieved significant success by arresting four criminals involved in criminal activities. During the operation, several suspicious items, including a homemade pistol, were recovered. On receiving a tip-off, Choraut police station chief Sukhvinder Nain, along with armed forces, reached the scene of the crime. They managed to capture all four criminals with a Pulsar motorcycle and seized weapons such as a knife, a bullet, a gun, and four mobile phones.
