Successful Rescue of Abducted Girl in Sheikhpura
Under the jurisdiction of Sheikhpura police station area, a 17-year-old girl who was abducted from a village has been successfully rescued by the police. The investigation officer Preeti Kumari, along with the police sub-inspector of the police station, led the operation to rescue the girl.
Abduction Incident and Rescue
The investigation officer revealed that the girl was kidnapped by criminals about 4 months ago. A complaint was filed by the girl’s mother at the local police station, accusing Rajiv Kumar, son of Uday Bind, a resident of the village, of kidnapping her daughter.
Recovery and Legal Proceedings
After the incident, the abducted girl was kept hidden in a neighborhood in Patna by the abductor. Due to police pressure, the girl was released. She was then brought back to Sheikhpura railway station from Patna. The rescued girl will be presented in court on Wednesday to record her statement under Section 164.
Legal Action and Further Investigation
While the accused youth has not been arrested yet, efforts are being made by the police to apprehend him. Sources revealed that the abducted girl had eloped with a local youth from the village in a love affair. The couple had secretly married in a temple in Patna and were hiding as husband and wife.
