Introduction

The Bihar Museum’s multi-purpose hall hosted an art workshop based on the biography of Vaidehi Sita on Wednesday. The workshop, which will run from July 31 to August 7, features 30 folk artists participating in Madhubani painting, Manjusha painting, Tikuli art, Sujani art, and Applique art.

Director’s Address

During the inauguration of the workshop, Anjani Kumar Singh, the Director of the Bihar Museum, highlighted the institution’s history of various creative programs and activities. As the birthplace of Janaki Dulare Sita, Bihar Museum organized an exhibition and workshop based on Mother Sita’s life story on its founding day.

Exhibition Opening

The exhibition will be inaugurated on August 7 at the museum. Ashok Kumar Sinha, the Deputy Director of the Bihar Museum, emphasized that such programs aim to engage more audiences with the museum through interactive displays, art journeys, children’s workshops, and artist discussions.

Artists’ Statements

Renowned artists from Bihar will showcase their art on the theme of Sita’s life, depicting various episodes from her story. The artists will bring to life scenes such as Sita’s birth, her swayamvar, exile in the forest, Hanuman’s arrival in Lanka, and her reunion with Lord Rama through their paintings.

बिहार संग्रहालय के बहुउद्देशीय सभागार में वैदेही सीता की जीवनी पर आधारित चित्रकला कार्यशाला का उद्घाटन किया गया। इस कार्यशाला में 30 लोक कलाकार मधुबनी पेंटिंग, मंजूषा पेंटिंग, टिकुली आर्ट, सुजनी कला और एप्लिक आर्ट वर्क में भाग ले रहे हैं। इसे लेकर 31 जुलाई से सात अगस्त तक चलने वाले इस कार्यशाला में दर्शकों को बिहार की लोक कलाओं का अद्भुत प्रदर्शन देखने को मिलेगा। इसके साथ ही बिहार संग्रहालय के स्थापना दिवस पर माता सीता की जीवन गाथा पर आधारित चित्र कार्यशाला और प्रदर्शनी भी आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
