Munshi Premchand Jayanti Celebration
On the occasion of Munshi Premchand’s birth anniversary, the artists of The Fact Art and Cultural Society staged his timeless creation “Bade Ghar Ki Beti” last night. The play was inaugurated at the Fact Space by Prof. Ashok Kumar Singh Amar, Deputy Chief of Beehat Nagar Parishad, under the direction of Rang Nir Santosh Kumar Rahi. The audience engaged in a detailed discussion on Premchand’s works and various aspects of his life.
Performance of “Bade Ghar Ki Beti”
Following the discussion, the presentation of the play “Bade Ghar Ki Beti” was directed by Chandan Kumar Vats. The talented actors like Devanand Singh as Beni Madhav Singh, Chandan Kashyap as Shrikant Singh, Vaibhav Kumar as Lal Bihari Singh, Priya Kumari as Anandi, and Satyam Kumar as the Villager mesmerized the audience with their brilliant performance.
Plot of the Play
The main character of the story, Anandi Jamindar Bhup Singh’s daughter, gets married to Shrikant, the eldest son of the landlord Beni Madhav Singh of Gauripur. Shrikant, a skilled man in the village, spends his Saturdays with the villagers and gets into a conflict with his brother Lal Bihari, leading to a series of events that unfold the complexities of family dynamics.
Heartwarming Short
After a heated argument between the brothers, Shrikant decides to separate from his family, but a touching moment between Anandi and Lal Bihari changes the course of events. The emotional reunion between the brothers brings tears to everyone’s eyes, showcasing the essence of family bonds and the resolution of conflicts in the play “Bade Ghar Ki Beti.”
मुंशी प्रेमचंद की जयंती पर द फैक्ट आर्ट एंड कल्चरल सोसाइटी के कलाकारों ने उनकी रचना ‘बड़े घर की बेटी’ का मंचन किया। नाटक की शुरुआत अर्यभट्ट के निदेशक प्रो. अशोक कुमार सिंह अमर द्वारा की गई। नाटक में बेनीमाधव सिंह के रूप में देवानंद सिंह, श्रीकंठ सिंह के रूप में चंदन कश्यप, लाल बिहारी सिंह के रूप में वैभव कुमार, आनंदी के रूप में प्रिया कुमारी और ग्रामीण के रूप में सत्यम कुमार ने शानदार प्रस्तुति दी। नाटक के अंत में भाई-भाभी के बीच एक दिल छू लेने वाला भावुक संवाद हुआ।
