Fire breaks out in transformer in Bhagalpur

On Thursday morning at 3 am, a fire broke out in a transformer in Bhagalpur. The police reached the spot on time and managed to control the fire. The incident took place near the SBI bank in Noorpur area of the Madhusudanpur police station. It is being said that the fire was caused by a sudden short circuit in the transformer.

Police control the situation

The police were patrolling the area when they noticed the fire. They were able to bring the situation under control. Near the SBI bank in Noorpur, there are two transformers. One of them caught fire due to a short circuit. The fire was so intense that it could have spread to the other transformer as well, but the police managed to extinguish it on time by using soil from the surroundings.

No casualties reported

During the incident, the electricity supply in the area was disrupted for about 2 hours. The fire was extinguished by putting soil on it. SBI Gopal Kumar mentioned that they were patrolling the area when they saw the fire in the transformer. They immediately used soil to control the fire. Another transformer in the vicinity was also at risk of catching fire, but timely action prevented any casualties.

Electricity supply restored

After the fire was extinguished, the electricity supply in the area was restored. The incident did not result in any injuries or casualties. The quick response from the police prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby transformer, ensuring the safety of the area.
