Woman dies in lightning strike while working in the fields in Rohtas
A woman died in a lightning strike while working in the fields in the Majhui village of Baddi Thana area in Rohtas. The police from Baddi Thana reached the spot on Thursday and sent the body for post-mortem. The deceased woman has been identified as Kumari Devi (46) from Majhui village.
Woman was roping in the field when lightning struck
The brother-in-law of the deceased, Babunath Bind, informed about the incident and mentioned that Kumari Devi had gone to rope in the paddy field. While she was working, lightning struck and she died on the spot. The villagers who gathered at the scene immediately informed the family members and the police about the incident.
Family members and villagers in shock
Upon receiving the news of the death, the family members were in shock and were seen crying at the scene. The police from Baddi Thana took the body of Kumari Devi to the Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for post-mortem. The police investigation is ongoing in this case.
