Shravani Mela 2024: A Global Event
The famous Shravani Mela at the Baba Ajgaibinath Temple in Sultanganj is attended by thousands of devotees and saints throughout the entire month of Shravan. The temple, which is quite old, is known for fulfilling sincere prayers and wishes. People from all over the country and abroad visit the temple not only during the month of Shravan but also throughout the year.
No One Sleeps Hungry at Night, Annadan Continues Throughout the Year
The head priest of the temple mentioned that any saint, sage, or visitor who arrives at the temple at night is not allowed to sleep hungry. A large scale annadan program is conducted throughout the year, with food being served in the annadan area during the day. The temple ensures that every day, two to three hundred people have a meal in the annadan area.
Demand for National Recognition of the Temple
Pilgrims from various parts of the country and abroad visit the Ajgaibinath Temple during the Shravani Mela. The pilgrims have expressed the need for the temple to receive national recognition. They emphasize the importance of providing basic amenities like drinking water and proper lighting in the temple premises throughout the year.
Appeal to Pilgrims by the Head Priest
The head priest of the temple highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance the beauty and significance of the temple premises. He urged the government to take initiatives that would further enhance the importance of the temple, leading to increased footfall of devotees. Pilgrims are advised not to begin their journey to Babadham without first paying homage at the Baba Ajgaibinath Temple. They are urged to visit the temple and then proceed with their pilgrimage to Babadham.
श्रावणी मेला 2024 में सुल्तानगंज के बाबा अजगैबीनाथ मंदिर में हजारों श्रद्धालु और संत-महात्मा आकर्षित होते हैं। मंदिर के स्थानापति महंत ने बताया कि यहां आने वाले को रात में भूखा नहीं सोने दिया जाता है और सालों भर भंडारा चलता रहता है। कांवरियों ने भी मंदिर की महत्ता को बढ़ाने की मांग की है। इसके साथ ही मंदिर के सौंदर्यीकरण और व्यवस्था को बेहतर बनाने की भी अपील की गई है।
