Accident in Patna

On Friday, a speeding vehicle in Patna hit two BSF soldiers who were on a motorcycle. One soldier died on the spot, while the other is in critical condition and has been admitted to a primary health center for treatment. The police have started an investigation into the incident as soon as they received information about it.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, two BSF soldiers were riding a scooter on the Bakhtiarpur Forelane in Fatuha when an unknown vehicle hit them. Both soldiers were injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment, where one of them was declared dead. The deceased soldier was identified as Raj Kumar Kshetri, a 42-year-old resident of Ramgarh, Jharkhand. The injured soldier, Deepak Pradhan, is currently undergoing treatment at a primary health center.

Eyewitness Account

BSF soldier Rajkumar Thapa stated that they had completed a one-month training refresher course in Jamalpur and were returning to their camp in Patna on Friday morning. Deepak Pradhan was riding a scooter on the Patna Bakhtiarpur road when an unknown vehicle hit them from behind. The impact caused the scooter to crash, resulting in the death of Rajkumar Kshetri and serious injuries to Deepak Pradhan.

Police Investigation

The Fatuha police have taken custody of the deceased soldier’s body for postmortem and are investigating the case. The station in-charge, Rupak Kumar Ambuj, mentioned that all the soldiers were returning from Jamalpur to Patna when the accident occurred near Bhikua. An unknown vehicle hit their scooter from behind, causing the tragic incident.
