Arrest of Accused in Shooting Incident at Sherghati Court
In a recent incident, three criminals who opened fire on prisoner Fotu Khan at Sherghati Court in Gaya were arrested in Asansol, West Bengal. The police in the area arrested them based on suspicion. The criminals had fled to a hideout in Barakar area of the Kulti police station after carrying out the shooting incident at the court. A special team from Sherghati police has been dispatched to Asansol to take them into custody for questioning.
Details of the Shooting Incident
The shooting incident took place on July 24th at Sherghati Court where Fotu Khan was brought for a hearing. During this time, shooters fired shots at him, resulting in minor injuries to Fotu Khan and a security guard. Fotu Khan was injured in the arm, while the security guard was shot in the hand. Two of the criminals involved in the incident were apprehended by the police immediately after the shooting, while the search for the remaining suspects was ongoing.
Identification of the Criminals
Out of the five accused involved in the shooting incident, two were caught on the day of the incident. One of them is a juvenile from Buxar, while the other is Rehan Khan, a resident of Sherghati Hamzapur. Fotu Khan, the main accused in the murder case of Lok Janshakti Party leader Anwar Ali Khan, was also involved in the incident. The police have initiated legal proceedings to bring the arrested suspects from Asansol to Gaya.
Police Action and Investigation
The Sherghati police station in-charge, Ajit Kumar, informed that legal action has been initiated to bring the arrested suspects from Asansol to Gaya for further investigation. The police are working diligently to uncover the motive behind the shooting incident at Sherghati Court and to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
