Camera, Lens, Light Theft Gang Active in Patna

In the Kotwali area of Patna, a gang involved in stealing cameras, lenses, and lights is currently active. This gang initially books online camera equipment from districts outside Patna in the name of wedding shoots and pre-wedding shoots. They take an advance payment of 1000-2000 rupees as a deposit for trust. They then bring the victims to hotels or guesthouses in Patna, where the cameramen fall asleep deeply. The gang then locks them in the room and escapes with the equipment.

Incidents of Theft

Two victims, Indal Sharma and Krishna Sharma, shared their experience of being targeted by this gang. In one incident, a boy named Rahul had booked equipment for a pre-wedding shoot in Patna. He had paid an advance of 1000 rupees and the total amount was 8500 rupees. Rahul was in constant telephonic contact from Sasaram to Patna and had sent a boy to receive the equipment at the station. However, upon waking up in the morning, both Rahul and the boy were missing along with the equipment worth about 3 lakhs rupees.
