Officials are working to remove encroachments in Motihari. Under the direction of DM Saurabh Jorwal, the municipal corporation has started taking action against increasing encroachments in the city. On Saturday, the municipal commissioner, along with the SDM and SDO, were seen actively involved in this initiative. During this time, fines amounting to Rs. 19,700 were collected from people encroaching on the road from Hospital Chowk to Janapul to Meena Bazar.

Enforcement Actions

Additionally, individuals found encroaching were fined as a punitive measure. During the operation, the Sadar SDO Shreshth Anupam and ASP Shikhar Chaudhary conducted inspections. The SDO instructed appointed magistrate Tarun Kumar to take necessary action to remove encroachments, warning of further consequences if encroachments were repeated.

Strict Measures

The enforcement actions are aimed at ensuring that public spaces are kept free from unauthorized occupation, creating a more organized and safe environment for residents and visitors alike.
