Complaint by Devotees in Sultanpur Police

With the beginning of the month of Shravan in Bhagalpur, devotees are heading to Devghar from the Ajagebinath Ganga Ghat in Sultanpur in large numbers every day. However, on Saturday, a shopkeeper on Kachchi Kamariya Path charged more than the price in a whimsical manner. The police intervened and resolved the matter peacefully.

Incident at Shravani Mela

After receiving information about the incident, police personnel deployed at the Shravani Mela in Sultanpur reached the shop. The situation was brought under control. The district administration has instructed to strictly follow the guidelines set by the MRP to collect money from devotees. However, the shopkeeper’s whimsical behavior was seen again. Nevertheless, the police arrived on time and the situation calmed down.

Testimony of a Devotee

Akash Kumar, a devotee from Gorakhpur, explained that he bought an item from the shop for ₹60, but the shopkeeper demanded ₹65, asking for an extra ₹5. When asked for the reason for the extra charge, the shopkeeper said it was for cooling, which was incorrect. The shopkeeper only stated that the price was ₹60 and he was charging ₹65 for cooling. The police arrived at the scene and resolved the matter peacefully.

श्रावणी माह की शुरुआत के दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश के श्रद्धालु सुल्तानगंज पुलिस से शिकायत करते हुए भागलपुर में दुकानदार की मनमानी तरीके से कीमत से ज्यादा रुपए लेने का मामला सामने आया। पुलिसकर्मी ने मामले को शांत करवाया और श्रद्धालु का कहना था कि उन्हें एक सामान के लिए ₹60 में बेचने के बावजूद दुकानदार ₹65 मांग रहे थे। इसके बाद पुलिस ने मामले को सुलझाया और दुकानदार को धमकाकर उन्हें ठंडा करने की अनुमति नहीं दी। इस घटना के बाद जिला प्रशासन ने श्रद्धालुओं से रुपए लेने की निर्देश जारी किया है।
