Poor Road Construction in Jamui
In Jamui, a 3-kilometer road was constructed under a rural scheme with a budget of over 96 lakhs. However, within just 9 months, the road has deteriorated due to corruption. The entire road is now filled with potholes, making it difficult for villagers to walk on it.
Protests by Villagers
Angered by the poor quality of the road, villagers in the Fulwariya area of Barhat block in Jamui started planting rice on the road as a form of protest. The road turned into a muddy mess, making it almost impossible for locals to travel on foot.
Accidents and Concerns
The deteriorating road conditions have led to accidents involving children and the elderly in the village. The situation has become worse after heavy rains, with the road becoming muddy and impassable. Villagers are facing significant difficulties due to the poor road construction.
Maintenance Concerns
While some villagers believe that the road should be repaired immediately, others argue that the government should focus on agriculture instead. The disagreement highlights the urgent need for proper maintenance of the road to ensure the safety and well-being of the villagers.
