Theft in Kirana Store in Gopalpur Thana Area of Patna

A gang of thieves climbed onto the roof of a grocery store in Bairia in the Gopalpur Thana area of Patna last night and carried out a theft. The thieves stole groceries and cash from the store. The shopkeeper was informed of the incident on Sunday morning when he started reviewing the CCTV footage. The CCTV footage shows the identity of the thief as a young man living next door.

Shopkeeper Discovers Theft in the Morning

The shopkeeper, Vikas Kumar, mentioned that he closed the shop and went home at night. When he returned to open the shop in the morning, he found the goods scattered and cash missing. He identified a young man from the neighborhood as the one who committed the theft. The CCTV cameras have captured the entire incident.

Police Investigation and Shopkeeper’s Claim

Gopalpur Thana in-charge, Javed Ahmed Khan, confirmed the theft incident and police arrived at the scene. The shopkeeper claimed that the theft amounted to ₹20,000. The police are investigating the case based on the information provided by the shopkeeper and the identification of the thief from the CCTV footage.
